This includes molecular biology, biochemistry, genetic engineering methods, animal or plant cell culture techniques, and bioinformatics, all delivered with close reference to current scientific trends and contemporary research literature.This programme is intended for applicants with a solid foundation in the natural sciences, such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics, as well as for biotechnology enthusiasts who wish to deepen their understanding of biological systems in order to address today’s environmental and societal challenges.

Admission Requirements
Main Requirements:
- Legalised High School graduation certificate or equivalent ( IB or EB diplomas - legalisation is not required )
- High School transcript of grades (legalisation is optional)
- NAWA Director's Individual Recognition Statement*

Scope of entrance exam material and rules:
- Cell structure (structure and functions of cell organelles in eukaryotes; comparison between eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells)
- Structure and biological function of biomolecules (sugars, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids)
- Basic processes of genetic information transmission (replication, transcription, and translation; genetic code)
- Basics of human physiology (blood composition and its role in the human body, human immune system, digestive enzymes)
- Main metabolic pathways of the cell (aerobic respiration, fermentation, photosynthesis, glycolysis, citric acid cycle, respiratory chain)
- Biotechnology – examples of applications in the pharmaceutical industry and agriculture
- Definitions of basic chemical concepts (Avogadro’s number, mole, molar quantity, mass, weight, viscosity, density, osmosis, diffusion, mass number, isotopes, pH)
